FlowState Integrative Wellness

Decode your biology | Optimize your health

Personalized wellness through genetics, biomarkers, functional nutrition, and lifestyle medicine.

How it works

We begin with a brief 15-minute introductory conversation to understand your goals, current concerns, and whether this service is the right fit for your needs.

After booking, you’ll complete any relevant intake information through the client platform so your consultation can be focused, personalized, and productive.

We'll then spend 90 minutes together doing a deep-dive into your priorities, lifestyle, routines, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in a clear and supportive way.

Next, we get your genetics and biomarker testing completed and sent off to the lab.

The results are then carefully analyzed, yielding an in-depth, detailed, personalized, and actionable assessment.

We'll spend 90 minutes reviewing the results and assessment for each test in two separate sessions.

You’ll receive clear next steps designed to help you move forward with confidence, without feeling overwhelmed by unrealistic changes.

Two 30-minute coaching sessions are built into the program — scheduled flexibly, whenever they'll help you most — to review progress, make adjustments, and provide whatever support you need to succeed.

You'll receive your consolidated Program Conclusion Report: your genetics assessment, your biomarker assessment, and your personalized nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle plan going forward — everything in one place, built to make what you've learned easy to live.

Depending on your goals, ongoing coaching support and other services are available to help you stay accountable, adjust your plan, and continue making progress over time.

The FlowState Program

Decode your biology, in detail

The Home page walks you through the shape of working together. This page is for the details — what's actually included, how the twelve weeks unfold, and whether FlowState is the right fit before you book a discovery call.

What makes FlowState different

Most nutrition programs hand you a meal plan and call it personalized. FlowState starts from your actual biology — genetics, blood biomarkers, symptoms, and lifestyle — and builds everything else on top of that.

  • Personalized nutrition aligned with your genetics, physiology, and goals — not a generic template

  • Functional interpretation of blood biomarkers, including nutrients, hormones, inflammation, and metabolism

  • Root-cause strategies that connect what you're feeling to what's actually happening in your biology

  • Targeted supplement guidance based on your labs, genetics, and tolerance — not a blanket protocol

  • Stress, sleep, and nervous-system support to improve recovery and resilience, not just food

  • Meal planning and food frameworks built around your biology and your actual lifestyle

  • Coaching for sustainable habits, so the plan holds up past week twelve

  • A plan that evolves as your symptoms, labs, and progress change

What's included

ComponentWhat it gives you
Comprehensive intake assessmentA deep look at your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, stress, sleep, and digestion
Genetic testingInsight into nutrient metabolism, methylation, inflammation, hormone balance, detoxification, and energy expenditure
Blood biomarker analysisFunctional interpretation of nutrient status, hormones, inflammation, metabolic health, and key trends
Precision nutrition planMeal planning and food recommendations built around your biology, symptoms, and goals
Targeted supplement strategyEvidence-informed recommendations personalized to your labs, genetics, symptoms, and tolerance
Lifestyle & recovery coachingGuidance for sleep, stress resilience, nervous-system regulation, movement, and recovery
Personalized FlowState protocolsA clear roadmap that turns complex data into practical, empowering next steps

Your testing is included. Genetic testing and a standard biomarker panel are covered by the package price — there's no separate lab bill and no add-on fee to see your own data. If your situation calls for testing beyond the standard panel, additional labs can be ordered.

Is FlowState right for you?

FlowState tends to be the best fit if you:

  • Want a personalized, science-informed approach to your health

  • Are frustrated by generic nutrition advice that hasn't moved the needle

  • Have ongoing symptoms without a clear explanation — including labs that came back "normal"

  • Want to optimize energy, cognition, hormones, or performance

  • Care about prevention and long-term, longevity-focused health

  • Want strategies grounded in your own biology, not someone else's

The twelve-week process

Here's how the program actually unfolds, session by session:

  1. Discovery call (15 min) — A short conversation to understand your goals and concerns, and to make sure FlowState is the right fit before you commit to anything.

  2. Onboarding — Once you've purchased your package, you'll complete your onboarding through the client platform so our first session together can start deep rather than starting from scratch.

  3. Intake session (90 min) — A thorough look at your health history, your symptoms, and the goals you want to work toward, plus a full review of where you're starting from in each of the three areas we'll keep returning to: lifestyle (sleep, stress, movement, recovery), nutrition, and supplementation. This is where we begin connecting what you're experiencing to what might be driving it.

  4. Genetic and biomarker testing — Your testing is completed and sent to the lab, then carefully analyzed. Both panels are included in your package at no additional cost.

  5. Genetic results and assessment review (90 min) — A deep dive into what your genetics actually mean for nutrient metabolism, inflammation, hormone balance, detoxification, and energy. Then a full revisit of lifestyle, nutrition, and supplement strategy with that data as context. Your baseline recommendations get sharper.

  6. Biomarker results and assessment review (90 min) — The same process with your blood work: a detailed walk through your nutrient status, hormones, inflammation, and metabolic markers, then another pass through lifestyle, nutrition, and supplementation, refined further by what your labs reveal.

  7. Program conclusion — You'll receive your consolidated Program Conclusion Report: your genetics assessment, your biomarker assessment, and your personalized nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle plan going forward — everything in one place, built to make what you've learned easy to live.

At each review stage you'll receive your personalized FlowState protocol in writing — a roadmap that turns the data into specific, practical action steps, updated as each new layer of testing comes in.

Looking for causes, not just symptoms. Fatigue, digestive trouble, hormone shifts, brain fog — these are signals, not the problem itself. Chasing them one at a time is why so many people cycle through diets and protocols without much really changing. Every stage of this process is built around a different question: not "what will make this symptom quieter," but "what in your biology is producing it, and what does that ask of your nutrition and lifestyle?" It's a slower question to answer. It's also the reason the program is built around your data instead of a protocol chosen before I've met you — and the reason it often surfaces contributors that routine bloodwork, read as simply "normal," was never designed to catch.

Why the assessments repeat. Your lifestyle, nutrition, and supplement strategy are evaluated three times — at intake, again after your genetics come back, and again after your biomarkers. Each layer of data reframes what came before. Your intake establishes the starting point; your genetics explain how your body is built to respond; your biomarkers show what's happening right now. Recommendations that made sense at baseline often shift meaningfully once that context arrives, and that's the point.

Alongside the sessions, you also get:

  • Two coaching sessions (30 min each) — Not fixed to the calendar. You book them whenever you need them most — to troubleshoot, refine your plan, or work through a sticking point — so the right support arrives at the right time.

  • Weekly meal planning support — Throughout the full program, not just at the start.

  • Messaging access — Direct access for questions and guidance during business hours for the life of the program.

Continued support

Progress doesn't stop when the program wraps. Depending on your goals, ongoing support and other services are available beyond the program to help you stay accountable, keep refining your plan, and continue making progress over time.

Investment

The FlowState Program is offered as an all-inclusive package: $1,800, covering every session, genetic and biomarker testing, and support throughout the twelve weeks.

Client Stories

Every FlowState plan starts with one person's actual biology — so no two stories look the same. Here are a few of them.

"Healthy" on the outside, prediabetic on the labs

Kevin came to FlowState after his doctor told him his Hemoglobin A1C had reached the prediabetic range. He was open to medication, but first he wanted to understand something his lab report couldn't tell him: why his blood sugar was dysregulated when, by every outward measure, he was living a healthy lifestyle.Working through his history, habits, and data together, the picture came into focus — he was overtraining, under-eating, and relying on a diet too narrow to support the demands he was placing on his body. The fix wasn't a dramatic overhaul. With simple but meaningful changes to his lifestyle and nutrition, supported by nutrigenomic insights, Kevin lost 14 pounds in two months and brought his A1C down by 3 percentage points.Just as important: his anxiety eased, and he built a healthier relationship with food and exercise — one designed to last well past the program.

The answer wasn't parasites

Bryan arrived convinced he had parasites. His gas and bloating had become unmanageable, and the constant discomfort was starting to affect his mood and his day-to-day life.Through the FlowState program and a comprehensive stool test with parasitology, we found the real story: significant pancreatic insufficiency alongside gut dysbiosis. That discovery mattered twice over. First, it meant referring Bryan to a gastrointestinal specialist for pancreatic imaging — connecting him with the right medical care for a concern that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. Second, it gave us a clear target: a six-week gut microbiome protocol using targeted antimicrobials and probiotics to remove, replace, reinoculate, repair, and rebalance his gut.By the end of those six weeks, Bryan's symptoms had significantly improved, his outlook was brighter, and his quality of life was back on track.

Getting her energy - and her sleep - back

Julie came to FlowState wanting two things she'd been missing for too long: energy and sleep. Alongside the lethargy, she was dealing with bloating and brain fog that made every day harder than it needed to be.A thorough health history and the FlowState testing program surfaced something her routine care hadn't: elevated thyroid antibodies. She was referred to an endocrinologist for suspected Hashimoto's, and while she pursued that medical evaluation, we went to work on the underlying factors contributing to her symptoms — hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis regulation, thyroid-supportive foods, and gut health.By identifying the key drivers beneath her symptoms and building strategies to improve her resilience, Julie regained the sleep and energy she'd been missing.

Names and identifying details have been changed to protect client privacy. These stories reflect individual experiences, and results vary from person to person. When testing surfaces a potential medical concern, clients are always referred to the appropriate healthcare provider.

About FlowState & Haley Cool

Your biology was shaped for a world that no longer exists

For nearly all of human history, the way we moved, ate, slept, and lived was set by our environment, and our bodies adapted to it over hundreds of thousands of years. Then, in the blink of an evolutionary eye, that environment changed — and our biology hasn't caught up. This gap between the world we evolved for and the one we live in now is called evolutionary mismatch, and it's at the heart of why so many people feel tired, inflamed, or simply "off" despite doing everything they're told they should.

Understanding that gap is the foundation of my work. But it didn't start in a classroom. For years, I was the one being told everything was "normal" — my labs, my fatigue, my thinning hair, my brittle nails — even when I knew something wasn't right. Because I was young and looked healthy, my concerns kept getting waved off; no one sat down, looked at the whole picture, and helped me understand what my body was trying to say. When I went looking for answers on my own, I found only noise: one expert swore by plant-based, the next by carnivore, and every week brought another must-have supplement. None of it accounted for me — my genetics, my physiology, my history. I realized no one could tell me what my body needed without first understanding my biology, so I set out to become the practitioner I'd been searching for. Today, every client I work with gets what I wish I'd had back then: someone who listens, connects the dots, and builds a plan as unique as they are.

My background

I hold a Master's degree in Biological Anthropology, where I studied how traditional cultures moved, ate, and adapted to their environments — and what that ancestral wisdom can teach us about thriving in the modern one. But knowing how humans are built to live is only half the picture. The other half is you: your genetics, your biomarkers, your history, and your goals.

As an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP), I look for the root cause of what you're experiencing rather than chasing symptoms one at a time. Many of the people I work with come to me feeling worn down by things like persistent fatigue, digestive trouble, hormone-related changes, inflammation, or metabolic concerns — often after being told their labs are "normal." I combine a detailed health history with advanced lab testing, genetics, and evidence-based functional nutrition to help you understand what your body is actually telling you, and to build a nutrition and lifestyle plan that fits your unique biology rather than a generic template.

Where genetics comes in

Much of my work centers on two questions: how your genes shape the way your body responds to food and nutrients (nutrigenetics), and how the food you eat influences the way your genes function (nutrigenomics). Together, these reveal what "healthy" actually looks like for you — which is often very different from what works for the person next to you.

More than nutrition

Real health isn't built on food alone. As a certified fitness instructor, yoga teacher, and meditation teacher, I help clients build strength, mobility, and a resilient nervous system through intentional movement, breathwork, and mindfulness. And as a Certified Wellness Coach through the International Association of Wellness Professionals (IAWP), I use proven behavior-change strategies to turn all of this into habits that actually last — with real accountability and support along the way.

My philosophy

There's no one-size-fits-all path to feeling good. My goal is to give you a clear understanding of your own body so you can work with your biology instead of against it, and make changes that hold up for life.

FAQ

A few of the questions that come up most often before people book a discovery call. If yours isn't here, just ask — that's what the call is for.

I'm taking a GLP-1 medication. Can I still work with you?

Yes — in fact, you may be an ideal candidate. GLP-1 medications can create an environment where muscle loss, bone loss, and nutritional imbalances are more likely, so together we can build a plan that supports your muscle, bone health, and overall nutrition. These medications can also make it easier to skip meals or workouts, and working together helps you stay consistent, motivated, and focused on your long-term goals.

I already have bloodwork. Do I have to get it done again?

In most cases, yes. I look at specific functional nutrition and inflammatory markers that aren't typically included in conventional lab panels. Bloodwork is also a short-term snapshot — results older than about three months may no longer reflect where your body is today.

Meal plans stress me out. Do I have to follow one?

Not at all. My work is rooted in nutrigenomics and nutrigenetics, so while I'll provide food recommendations and make meal plans available, you're welcome to adjust your meals in whatever way feels realistic for you. This is a bio-individualized program: your path will be clear, but it will also be tailored to your preferences, so success feels attainable and sustainable.

I'm hesitant about genetic testing. Will my biological information be "out there"?

That's a very understandable concern. I use 3X4 Genetics because of their strong privacy practices: your genetic information is never sold to third parties, and your genetic data is separated from your identifying information, so your results remain anonymous. Your physical DNA sample is also destroyed by the laboratory six months after DNA extraction.

Can I work with you if my only health goal is weight loss?

Probably not. While many clients experience weight loss as a result of our work together, I don't treat weight as the primary measure of health. Instead, I approach body size through a weight-health framework — moving away from weight-centric, reductionist models and toward a comprehensive, integrative, and personalized approach that addresses the root causes of metabolic dysfunction while supporting long-term health and resilience.
